Darnall-Attercliffe-City Centre
Work continues on adding a cycle track to Furnival Road, crossing Derek Dooley Way.
Work has also started on Attercliffe Road, adding a cycle track in the northbound direction
Magna-Tinsley
Work is ongoing on changing the Sheffield Road and Blackburn Meadows Way junction.
Work has seemingly still not started on the area east of the junction, which means it is still a very uncomfortable ride, having to share the very wide road with lorries and cars travelling quickly.
According to the council:
We will do this from Monday 11 May to Thursday 14 May.
City Centre
The pedestrianisation of Surrey Street is nearly complete, with a few more metres to go. There is a temporary surface in place on parts of it which is due to be finished after the World Snooker Championships.
The pedestrianisation of Pinstone Street outside the Radisson Blu continues.
The upgrade to the rest of Pinstone Street is in progress. This will become a two-way street for bicycles while remaining a one-way street for motor vehicles.
On Arundel Gate, work continues on creating a roundabout to aid drivers to avoid the bus gate. Seemingly no work has started on the cycle track here yet.
Townhead Street and Leopold Street
The consultation ended last month. No news since then.
Burngreave
The consultation ended last month. No news since then.
Nether Edge – City Centre
TROs are in place, but no on-the-ground work yet.
Castle Street
No news since the consultation.
