Sheffield station has a secure cycle hub accessed from the taxi rank. Access is via a fob, which you can obtain from the ticket office for a one-off £10 fee after completing a short registration form.

The hub is run by East Midlands Railway and is open 24 hours a day. It has space for standard bikes, cargo bikes, and other non-standard cycles, and legal e-bikes can be parked there. The facility is monitored by CCTV.

Bikes can be left overnight or for several days, for example when commuting or travelling by train. The hub is not intended for long-term storage, and cycles that appear to be abandoned may be removed.

Changing rooms and toilets are located on the upper floor and can be reached by stairs or lift. There is also a small repair stand on the ground floor for basic maintenance. The same fob can be used at other EMR cycle hubs, including Derby.

Platform 6b/8b

There are a set of cycle stands in between platforms 6b and 8b. These are less secure than the cycle hub, but are free to use. To get there from Sheaf Square, you must use the lifts at the station concourse, and the lifts at platform 6/8. The lifts are quite small and will likely not fit larger bikes such as cargo bikes or adapted cycles. If you are able to, you can also carry your bike up and down the stairs. Please note that the platform is not accessible when the station is closed.
