Sheffield City Council has revealed plans for cycling improvements in Castlegate in their Connecting Sheffield: Castle Street proposals, as part of the regeneration of the Castlegate area.

A city centre street scene showing a red-brick segregated cycle lane running through a pedestrian-friendly area with paving, plants, and crossing points. People are walking, cycling, and using mobility aids. Historic buildings with stone and brick facades line the street, including one with a clock tower on the right. The sky is clear and blue.

They are consulting on the changes until 11.59pm on Sunday 9th November 2025, so please fill out the survey at the bottom of the Connecting Sheffield: Castle Street page to let them know what you think!
