View our Routes section

By Train

Regular trains from London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh, Cheltenham, Bristol, etc.

By Bus

120 Bus stops at the bus station (opposite the train station) and near to the venue on Glossop Rd. The Stagecoach 120 buses are brand new hybrid vehicles and have wifi.

52 Bus stops closer to the venue, can be caught from the High Street.

By Tram.

Tram stops at rear of Station, get off at University Tram Stop (routes to Middlewood & Malin Bridge)

By Coach

National Express services into the Bus Station, Megabus stops at Meadowhall.

By Car

The M1 passes close (but not too close) to Sheffield.

We recommend you use the Park and Ride sites located at Meadowhall, Nunnery (off the Parkway) Halfway, Malin Bridge and Middlewood and use the tram (see above)

By Air

The nearest airport is Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield. The most convenient one is Manchester (direct trains to Sheffield.) East Midlands isn’t too far away.

Accommodation

Accommodation with local cyclists and supporters is available on request when booking.

Hotels: Sheffield has a lot of hotels (but not many hostels). Being locals we tend not to use them so we don’t know what they’re like.

However the Artful Lodger has some info.

Nearby: The Rutland, Glossop Rd

Sleep, Scotland St

The nearest Youth Hostel is at Hathersage (a great bike ride in or local trains)

The Travelodges off the parkway  and at Meadowhall are both adjacent to the National Cycle Network (NCN6)
