It’s riding me crazy!

Written by . Filed under campaigning. 3 Comments.

The council has run two “It’s driving me crazy” campaigns where they offer drivers the opportunity to have  a moan about about niggles them as they drive around. In response, here is an opportunity for cyclists to have their say.

Which junctions, traffic light timings and road layouts ride you crazy, causing delays that could be reduced?

Once we have a shortlist we will put it to the vote and submit our list to the council.

Angel St to Arundel Gate

West Street to Walkley

The people who park in the bike lane on Clarkehouse Rd from 09:10 every morning: The generally hazardous conditions on Clarkehouse Rd & Brocco Bank throughout the day.

There are a lot of potential links through parks that are prohibited by by-law.

- Walkley, Crookes, Broomhall and University of Sheffield area into the city.

- contraflow cycling should be allowed on Wilkinson St .

- Lack of a safe crossing over the ring road between the University and the cycle routes into the city along Leavygreave Road / Portobello / Trippet Lane.

No route up Mappin Street from West St to join the above route

Lack of a direct route from top of Broomspring Lane to the Hallamshire Hospital, Western bank Northumberland Road area. The mess of one way streets around the Hallamshire lead you away from the easiest and direct routes.
